So, I'm in Copenhagen right now to attend the Schoolism Live Workshop happening Saturday and Sunday. There'll be lessons held by Jesper Ejsing, Karl Kopinski, Nathan Fowkes, Chris Sasaki, Wouter Tulp and Andrea Blasich. Really looking forward to it! Anyone else going??

I've seen a lot of artists answer this questionnare, so I thought I'd do one myself. Not very interesting answers though, sorry! :P
  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
    10 years!

  2. What does your username mean?
    My name.

  3. Describe yourself in three words.
    Ambitious, jovial, introvert.

  4. Are you left or right handed?
    Right.

  5. What was your first deviation?
A really bad portrait of an orc. But everyone has to start somewhere, right?

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
    Moody fantasy/fairytale.

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
    Traditional sculpting!

  8. What was your first favourite?
Leap of Faith by VegasMike by :iconvegasmike: A really cool artwork that I still love. And his inspiration for painting it makes it even cooler!

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
    Hmm, fantasy scenery, I believe.

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Impossible to answer. There are so many great artists that I couldn't name a single favourite.

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I don't know really. Anyone who inspires me :)

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Hmmm, I got a lot of help from :iconhenning: back when I first started painting. He was also a big inspiration for me to start painting digitally, so I guess you could say he did a big impact on my life that way. Thanks Henning! :D

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
    Photoshop, Cintiq, pencils and paper.

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
    My man cave!

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Someone I look up to told me I had talent. He probably did it just to make me happy, but I think reading that comment made a spark inside me :)

Busy summer!

2 min read
Hello all! Just wanted to write an update iin case anyone is interested in what I am doing these days.

We've had pretty lousy weather in Norway this summer. I think we've had maybe 10 days of decent weather, and the rest has been just gray and rainy. Had plans to do a lot of renovation on our house, but the weather has made it challenging.

Anyways, it's been pretty quiet on the freelance commissions the last year, but then a few weeks ago I got 3 different jobs in one week! So I've been really busy lately working both day and night to get things finished in time. I've finished two of the jobs, and I am close to finishing the last one now.

The first one was actually a caricature, which I haven't done in years now. I'm not too keen on doing them anymore, but I've worked for the client a few times before so I thought "what the heck.."

The second one was a pretty big job, and the biggest of them all work-wise. I did a lot of assets for some animated ad campaigns for another returning client. Very different than my usual stuff, but I had fun working on it.

The final one I'm working on right now is my first book cover. Very excited about that :) I'll post the works once I am allowed to.

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Yngve

Hi everyone!

Just a little shameless pat on my own back following: My artwork "The Sleeping Giant" is now a promotional artwork for Wacom's newly announced Cintiq 27QHD.

Check it out here: www.wacom.com/en-us/products/p…

Funny

This funny phenomena keeps happening to me every now and then here on DA. A user adds most of, if not all of my artworks to their favourites, but they don't add me to their watch list. If you like all of my artwork, there's a pretty big chance I'll post more work in the future that you will like. Just a tip ;)

Anyways, I'm working on several new artworks at the moment. So stay tuned! :)
